Vidya Prabodhini College Signs MOU with Emerge Vocational Skills Private Limited, Parvari-Goa

Vidya Prabodhini College of Commerce, Education, Computer and Management, Parvari-Goa has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Emerge Vocational Skills Private Limited, Parvari-Goa. The organisation is a subsidiary of Emerge group, affiliated to National Skill Development Corporation India limited as a Training Partner.

The main aim of this MOU is to provide training and develop employability skills in students. The organisation is determined to transform students through life enabling skills and enhance their growth prospects through sustained training for better employments. The activities this organisation aim to ensure employment, enhance career path and develop entrepreneurs in Goa.

During the MOU signing programme at the College Dr. M.R.Patil, Principal welcomed Mr. Shashidharan, Mr. Ramic Pereira & Mr. Nieseeth Behera of Emerge Vocational Skills Private Limited. He said that the MOU between Emerge Vocational Skills Private Limited and Vidya Prabodhini College will help the students, alumina and community at large and will provide all an opportunity for training and skill development. He said that the college will also conduct a research study on skill development in the State of Goa. Mr. Ramic Pereira made a presentation about the programmes offered by Emerge Vocational Skills Private Limited. He also informed that their organisation is offering free courses under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana. He said that on the completion of courses which are in the Hospitality Industry, the organisation helps in placing the students in the Hospitality Industry. Mr. Nieseeth Behera, a Senior Faculty, Gesto Culinary & Hospitality Academy, Porvorim-Goa made a presentation about the Courses offered by the institute in the State of Goa. He also mentioned that in the coming years, Goan Hospitality Industry will need more Skilled Human Resource as the number of tourists coming to Goa will increase to a large extent. The programme ended with signing of MOU by the members of Emerge Vocational Skills Private Limited and Principal and Vice-Principal of the College. Dr. Sukaji G. Naik, Vice-Principal extended vote of thanks to all the members present for the programme.
