Student Council Inauguration 2017

Prabodhan Education Society’s Vidya Prabodhini College of Commerce, Education, Computer and Management Parvari-Goa inaugurated Students’ Council on 28th July, 2017 at Swami Vivekanand Hall, Parvari-Goa. The function started with welcome song by the Students of the College. Dr. M.R. Patil, Principal welcomed the Chief Guest, Shri. Pravin M. Bhende, Principal, G.V.M’s College of Commerce and Economics, Ponda-Goa. He thanked the Chief Guest for accepting the invitation and sparing his valuable time. He also congratulated the elected representatives of the Students’ Council and said that students should work for the Students’ Council and also develop life skills. He also welcomed the Faculty members and students for the Function. Dr. Sukhaji G. Naik, Vice-Principal introduced the Chief Guest and Ms. Trupti Salgaonkar, Student of T.Y.B.A.B.Ed welcomed the Chief Guest with Bouquet of Flowers.

The Chief Guest along with others dignitaries lighted a traditional lamp and formally inaugurated the Students’ Council. All the members of the Students Council were given a floral welcome by the Chief Guest and Mr. Pinkesh D. Dhabolkar, Convener of Students Council administered the oath to the newly elected Students’ Council members. He then presented the Students’ Council report of academic year 2016-17 and also highlighted the achievements of the Students’ Council.

Shri.Pravin M. Bhende, Chief Guest said that Students’ Council is a very important body in the College and it should work for the Development of the College. He told that Students should be made part of decision making process in any institute of Higher Education. He said that he is very happy to note that Mr. Omkar Gaonkar, newly elected General Secretary of the college told to work for building image of the College. He informed the Students that G.V.M’s College Ponda has started two certificate courses where training about the personality development and leadership are provided to the Students and also requested the members of the Students’ Council to take lead in inviting all the members of Students’ Council of other Colleges and conducting Leadership program for the Students. He said that Students should work with a tag line which should include inspire, confidence and help the community. He wished the students all the best in future. The function ended with thanks by Mr. Omkar Gaonkar, General Secretary of the Students’ Council of the College.
