Team Championship

• College Men and Women team won Winners and Runners up position respectively at Inter-Collegiate Table Tennis Tournament organized by Nirmala Institute of Education, St. Inez Goa held on 26^th July 2019.
• Baseball Men Team won Runner’s Up at Inter-Collegiate Baseball Championship held at Goa University ground organized by Goa University on 21^st January to 24^th January 2020
• College team won Runner’s Up at Ebullience 4.0 organized by Dhempe College of Arts and Science, Miramar Goa held on 29^th January 2020.
• College team of men as well as women secured first place at Inter-Collegiate 4*100 m Relay held at St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa on 12th December 2019.
• Women’s Judo Team won 2^nd Runner’s Up at Inter-Collegiate Women Judo Championship held at Jubilee Hall, Taleigao organized by Goa University.
• Cricket Men’s team were Runner’s Up at Inter-Collegiate Cricket Tournament organized by V. M. Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar at Goa University Ground from 5^th February to 8^th February 2020.

About 30 Students participated at National Level where as 01 student participated at International Level

Around 12 students won Medal at State Level

1. The Department of Physical Education & Sports participated at the Inter Collegiate Judo Competition organized by Goa University during the academic year 2016-2017. The competition was held at Silver Jubilee Indoor complex on 29^th & 30^th July 2016, wherein 13 Boys and 16 Girls represented the college. Achievement in Judo is as follows:

2. Vasant Narulkar from FYBCom ‘A’, secure Silver medal in the Inter-Collegiate Power Lifting competition organized by Goa University on 11/08/2016 held at Silver Jubilee Hall, Goa University, Taleigao - Panjim.
3. Sukanti Gadekar from TYBCom A secured Bronze medal in the Inter-Collegiate Taekwondo competition organized by Goa University on 27/09/2016 held at Silver Jubilee Hall, Goa University, Taleigao Panjim
4. Prajwal shetty from TYBCom B continued his classic performance at Inter Collegiate Athletics Competition. He secured 2 Gold Medals for the college by setting New Meet Records in both 200 M & 400 M Rave for Men at the said competition. The event was held on 15^th, 16^th and 17^th of December 2016 at SAG Athletic Stadium, Bambolim, Goa.
5. Ramnath S. Gaonkar was appointed as a Coach / Official at the 61^st School Game National Championship – 2015 held on 30^th December 2015 at Bhopal, organized by Rope Skipping Association, Madhya Pradesh.
6. Ramnath S. Gaonkar was appointed as a / Official at the Regional Kendriya Vidyalaya
7. Mast Prajwal Shetty bagged 6 Gold one each in 100 Mtr, 200 Mtr, 400 M, Discuss Throw, Long Jump & High Jump event and one Silver Medal inJavelin Throw, at the 1^st GOY Olympia Championship 2017, organized by Youths of Goa held at Peddem Sports Complex, Mapusa, Goa from 5^th and 8^th January, 2017.
8. Girls Tug of War Team also secured Gold Medal at the  1^st GOY Olympia Championship 2017, organized by Youths of Goa held at Peddem Sports Complex, Mapusa, Goa from 5^th and 8^th January, 2017. Krishan Kumar Kumawat bagged Bronze Medal in Judo at the same competition.
9. College Girls Softball team participated for the Goa State Softball Championship 2017 held at Saude, Ground, Chodan on 29^th January 2017. Team Reached Semis and were honoured with the Shield for the Best upcoming team.
10. In Inter-collegiate Baseball Tournament, College Men Baseball Team showed continuity in performance by reaching in finals and ended up as Runners Up. Women Team lost in Semi-final.
11. In Men Category, boys also participated in Table Tennis, Badminton, Chess, Cross Country, Weight Lifting, Football, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Volleyball and Cricket and in Womens Category, Girls participated in Table Tennis, Badminton, Tennikoit, Kabaddi, Volleyball and Cricket competitions organized by Goa University at Inter-collegiate Level.
12. Inter-Class Competitions were also conducted for both boys and girls. 

1. The Department of Physical Education & Sports achieved a remarkable achievement at the Inter Collegiate Judo Competition organized by Goa University during the academic year 2015-2016. The competition was held at Silver Jubilee Indoor complex on 4^th & 05^th August 2015, wherein 13 Boys and 12 Girls represented the college.

In Men’s Category, Vidya Prabodhini College won Runners Up trophy securing 4 medals. Student of TYBCom A Mast. Rajasab Sutgund and student of SYBCom B Mast. Prajwal Shetty secured Gold Medal, and  TYBCom students Mast. Sanjit Naik and Mast. Shudham Bandodkar secured Bronze Medal in their respective categories. In Women Categories, College Judo Team secured 2^nd Runners Up Place. Miss Bindiya Naik from BABEd B division secured Gold medal, Miss Sabiya Dukandar from SYBCom A & Miss Nilufer Jovali from  FYBCOM B secured Silver medal, and a SYBCom B student Miss Imtiza Sayyad and a TYBCom student Miss Sanjivini Kadam secured Bronze Medal in their respective categories.

The Judo team availed services of Mr. R. V. Shintre, Senior Judo Coach of Sports Authority of Goa.

2. Our College Football team participated in the “Golden Jubilee Cup organized by S. S. Dempo College of Commerce & Economics on 30^th of July 2015 held at Dhuler Football Stadium.
3. Mast Prajwal Shetty of SYBCom B was selected as the Goa Athletic Team member for the Sr. National Athletic Championship held at Calicut on 5^th September 2015
4. At Inter Collegiate Taekwondo competition organized by Goa University on 29^th September 2015, Vidya Prabodhini College Girls Team secured 3^rd place in team championship. Miss Kavita Kataria and Miss Sukanti Gadekar, both from SYBCOM secured Gold & Silver medal respectively.
5. Ramnath Gaonkar worked as an official at the Kendriya Vidyalaya National Rope Skipping Championship held at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, from 07^th October 2015 to 11^th October 2015
6. Mast Ramnath Gaonkar bagged 8 Medals at the 16^th National Rope Skipping Championship 2015, organized by Rope Skipping Federation of Haryana held at Rohtak, Haryana on 17^th November 2015. He secured 4 Gold medals one each in Speed – Sprint, Triple Under, Speed – Endurance and Speed Relay, 03 Silver Medals one each in Dubble Dutch Speed Relay, Dubble Dutch Pair Free Style & Team Demo, and a Bronze Medal in Dubble Dutch Single Free Style.
7. Bindiya Shinde from FYBABEd B represented Goa State at the Cadet National Cadet & Junior Judo Championship – 2015-16 held at Vadodara, Gujrat from 19^th to 23^rd in November 2015.
8. Pradosh Parmekar from SYBCOM B was the member of Goa Senior Judo Team at the Senior National Judo Championship 2015-2016 organized by Amateur Judo Association of Chandigarh in collaboration with Judo Federation of  India, held at Chandigarh  from 02^nd to 05^th December 2015.
9. Prajwal shetty brought glory to the college not only by securing first Gold Medal for the college but also by breaking Goa University meet record in Athletics and by setting up a New Meet record in 400 M Men Running event. He secured a Gold in 200 M Men race as well. The event was held on 15^th and 16^th of December 2015 at SAG Athletic Stadium, Bambolim, Goa.

9. Cherry on a cake, Mast. Prajwal Shetty represented Goa University for the second consecutive year at All India Inter-University Athletics Championship 2015-2016 held at Punjabi University, Patiala, Punjab from 27^th to 31 December 2015.
10. Ramnath S. Gaonkar worked as an Official at the 61^st School Game National Championship – 2015 held on 30^th December 2015 at Bhopal, organized by Rope Skipping Association, Madhya Pradesh.
11. Mast Prajwal Shetty bagged 2 Gold Medals, one each in 100 Mtr and 200 Mtr Men running event at the 48^th State Level Athletic Championship 2016, organized by Goa Athletic Association in Collaboration with The Sports Authority of Goa held at Peddem Sports Complex, Mapusa, Goa on 24^th and 25^th January, 2016.
12. Trupti Salgaonkar from BABEd B participated and emerged as the Champions at the 5^th Senior State level Throwball Championship 2016 held at Valpoi, Goa on 25^th January 2016
13. Kavita Kataria from SYBCOM A participated and emerged as the Champions at the Goa State Softball Championship 2016 held at Saude, Ground, Chodan on 21^st February 2016. Miss. Neketa Phadte and Miss. Prajakta Halarnkar also participated in the said state level meet.
14. Four Boys of our college participated in District Level Rope Skipping competition on 22^th February 2016 at L. D. Samant High School campus, Porvorim organized by Goa Amateur Rope Skipping Association. Mast. Ramnath Shivaji Gaonkar from SYBCOM A secured individual Gold Medal in Speed Endurance event. Relay Team of the college comprising of Mr. Ramnath Gaonkar, Meghal Kauthankar, Imtiaz Mulla & Vishal Mistry also secured 2 Gold Medals one each in Team Speeed relay 4 X 30 Seconds event and Dubble Dutch Speed.
15. The same Rope Skipping Team also participated in State Level Rope Skipping Championship on 24^th February 2016 at Dr. Hedgewar school, Bambolim, Goa, organized by Goa Amateur Rope Skipping Association. Mast. Ramnath Shivaji Gaonkar secured Individual Gold Medal in Speed Endurance event. Relay Team comprising of Mr. Ramnath Gaonkar, Meghal Kauthankar, Imtiaz Mulla & Vishal Mistry secured 2 Silver Medals one each in Speed Relay 30 Seconds and Dubble Dutch Speed event.  
16. In Intercollegiate Baseball Tournament, Both Men and Women College Baseball Team showed remarkable growth in performance by reaching in finals in their respective categories during very third year of participation. In both the categories, the teams emerged as Runners Up.
17. In Intercollegiate Cricket Tournament, Women Cricket Team of this college showed excellent performance by reaching in semi-finals of the women cricket. The Team defeated Dhempe college of Arts & Science, Miramar and MES College, Vasco in their preliminary rounds.
18. In Men Category, boys also participated in Table Tennis, Chess, Badminton, Cross Country, Power Lifting, Football, Athletics, Volleyball and Cricket and in Womens Category, Girls participated in Badminton & Tennikoit competitions organized by Goa University at Intercollegiate Level.

• Our College Carrom team comprising of 04 students participated in the “All Goa Inter-College Carrom Tournament for Men on 14^th August 2014”, organized by Government College of Arts, Commerce & Science, Khandola, Marcel.
• Mast Prajwal Shetty of FYBCOM was selected as the Goa Athletic Team member for the West Zone Athletic Championship held at Raipur, Chattisgargh 0n 07^th October 2014. He secured Silver Medal in Men 400 M Relay Event.
• Ramnath S. Gaonkar Represented Goa State at the 15^th National Rope Skipping Championship – 2014 held on 4^th November 2014 at Anand, organized by Rope Skipping Association, Gujrat. He bagged 4 Silver Medals one each in Speed Hop, Dubble Dutch Pair Speed, Dubble Dutch Pair Free Style and Dubble Dutch Speed Relay and 3 Bronze Medals one each in Speed Sprint, Dubble Dutch Single Free Style & Team Demo.
• Miss Kavita Kataria and Miss Sukanti Gadekar, both from FYBCOM secured Silver and Bronze respectively in Inter Collegiate Taekwondo competition organized by Goa University.
• Ruksana Sounoor from TYBCOM represented Goa State at the Senior National Judo Championship – 2014-15 held at Haridwar, Uttarakhand in December 2014.
• Ramnath Gaonkar also represented Goa at the 60^th National School Games in Rope Skipping held from 02^nd to 08^th January 2014 at Delhi.
• Mast Prajwal shetty also brought glory to the college becoming the very First students in college sports history by representing Goa University at All India Inter-University Athletics Championship 2014-2015 held at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Services, Mangalore from 16^th to 20 January 2015.
• Feather in the Crown, Mast Prajwal shetty was also member of Goa Athletic Team at the National Games held at Kerala from 9^th January to 2015. In Men 400 M Race he reserved his place in the semi finals finishing 7^thFour

• The same Rope Skipping Team also participated in State Level Rope Skipping Championship on 16^th February 2015 at Zhantye Sports Complex, Bicholim organized by Goa Amateur Rope Skipping Association. Mast. Ramnath Shivaji Gaonkar from FYBCOM A secured Gold Medal in Speed 30 Seconds event and Silver medal in Dubble Dutch event. Mast. Meghal Kauthankar from SYBCOM secured two Silver Medals one each in Endurance and Dubble Dutch Event. Mast Imtiaz Mulla secured two silver medals in one each in Dubble Dutch and Dubble Under event. Relay Team comprising of Mr. Ramnath Gaonkar, Meghal Kauthankar, Imtiaz Mulla & Mukesh Vishwakarma also secured Gold Medal in Team Speeed relay 30 Seconds. In Girls Category, Miss Savita Shinde secured Medal in event.
• FYBCOM student, Mast Prajwal Shetty secured Gold Medal in 400 M Men and Silver Medal in 200 M Men Running event at the Goa University Athletic Meet – 2014-15 held at SAG Athletic Stadium, Bambolim from 11^th to 13^th December 2014.

• Bringing glory to the college, Vidya Prabodhini won their 1^st ever Team Championship winning Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament organized by S. S. Dhempo college of Commerce & Economics and were awarded with a Trophy and cash prize of Rs. 20,000/-
• In Men Category, boys also participated in Chess, Badminton, Cross Country, Swimming, Weight Lifting, Power Lifting, Best Physique, Football, Baseball and Cricket and in Womens Category Girls participated in Badminton, Cross Country Tennikoit Kabaddi, Baseball and Cricket competitions organized by Goa University at Intercollegiate Level.

• Cross Country 9 Men team of the Vidya Prabodhini College also participated in the “Inter-College Mini Marathon Race organized by Fr. Agnel College, Pillar.
• Department of Physical Education celebrated National Sports Day on 29^th August 2012.   Milton Fernandes, Assistant Director of Sports, Goa University was the chief guest for the program. On this occasion, Inter Class Fitness competition was organized for Both Boys and Girls separately. In this competition fitness exercises like Push-Ups, Squats, Bent knee Sit-Ups, V-Hold were included. FYBCOM B Boys and SYBCOM Girls emerged as winners and SYBCOM Boys and SYBCOM A Girls emerged as Runners in the said competition. Also Interclass Tug of War was conducted wherein SYBCOM Girls and Boys team emerged as Champion in both the categories.
• Two Students of our college namely Mast. Meghal Kauthankar and Miss Savita Shinde Represented Goa State at the 14^th National Senior Rope Skipping Championship – 2013 held at Sawai Mansing Indoor Stadium Jaipur, Rajasthan organized by Rajasthan Rope Skipping Association. Miss Savita Shinde also bagged First place in D.D. Pairs Free Style
• 12 Boys and 5 Girl Students also worked as Volunteers in International Sports event during the 3^rd Lusofonia Games Goa - 2014 held in Goa from 23^rd to 27^th January 2014. College Physical Education Director Mr. Sunny Kanekar also worked as International Technical Official in Athletics during the same event.
• A TYBCOM student, Miss Ruksana Sounoor secured Bronze Medal at the Goa University Athletic Meet – 2013-14 College Physical Education Director worked as Technical Official
• In Men Intercollegiate Cricket Tournament, College Team reached in Quarter finals in their first appearance.
• Cricket team of the Vidya Prabodhini College also participated in the “Inter-College Tennis Ball Championship Trophy 2013”, Invitational Cricket Tournament organized by Dhempo College of Arts and Science, Altin – Panjim.
• In Men Category, boys also participated in Chess, Badminton, Cross Country, Swimming, Weight Lifting, Power Lifting, Best Physique, Football, and Baseball and in Womens Category Girls participated in Badminton, Cross Country Tennikoit Kabaddi and Baseball competitions organized by Goa University at Intercollegiate Level.
• A FYBCOM student Mr. Kalpesh Phulsunge secured Second Place in Dubble Unders Below 19 Age Category event at State Level competition organised by Amateur Rope Skipping Association of Goa on 26^th February 2013.

• As Per letter obtained from the Sports Section of Goa University, Mast Sanjit Naik and Miss Ruksana Sounoor were Nominated as Best Sportsmen and Sportswomen of Vidya Prabodhini College for the Academic Year 2013-14. The details of their achievement is as below.

• Guidance and Coaching of SAG and Private coaches was also taken in events like Judo (Coach Shintre), Chess (Coach Avinash), Tennicoit (Coach Siddesh), Cricket (Coach Nilesh) and Baseball (Coach Sachin).
