The college sports department works in consultation with the sports committee comprising teachers and Physical Education Director. The inculcation of the spirit of sportsmanship in the students of Vidya Prabodhini College, furthering the talent, nurturing the potential of sports and achieving excellence in sports at the university, state and National level have been the prime objective of the department.
The sports committee plans sport schedule for each academic year. The college has a sports field for different games like cricket, football and volley ball and Indoor sports like Shuttle Badminton, Chess, Table tennis, etc. are equally encouraged. The sports department of the college has been organizing inter-collegiate tournaments in Cricket, volleyball, badminton, etc. Every year students from the college are representing at University, State and National level, in various disciplines of sports. Keeping the above objectives in mind, the sports department has been working relentlessly for the overall growth of the sports stunners. Teaching staff also take active part in sports activity, intercollegiate competitions in cricket and shuttle badminton.
